Hello Autumn!

So, it has been a couple of months since my last blog post, sorry about that. It was a rather busy summer. Here is a quick run down of the last few months…

During the summer holidays my husband was home and we were making the most of time together and with our dog, Kiwi. We went on a few days out and I took my crocheting with me. I had a lot of stock to make over these 2 months. I had orders coming in as well as markets and I was gathering stock for the new shop, which opened in August.

The shop in Builth Wells, The Corner Collective, opened at the start of August, if you haven’t seen the shop yet I highly recommend it!! It is a beautiful space on the High Street. Nicola has a selection of amazing crafters stocking the shop, there is something for everyone.

I had no idea how well the shop would do in the first few weeks of opening, it was amazing. But this meant I was very busy crocheting and replacing stock in the shop. I did manage to squeeze in a mini break to North Wales for our 8th Wedding Anniversary. 3 full days with a hook in my hand! Although I did have a project bag with me just in case there was time.

September went by in a flash. I’ve been making and trying to think ahead. I was making pumpkins and bobble hats during the back to school heatwave. I made some Halloween characters ready for the shops and markets. This year I’ve made 5 of each and once they're gone, they're gone!

As we head into October, I’m thinking ahead to Christmas. I’m working on building stock, which means crocheting 4 or 5 of the same toy so I have enough for the shops and to take to markets and hopefully, stockpile for Christmas. I’ve already started telling customers to get their custom orders in as soon as possible. These next few months are my busiest time of year so I have to be super organised with my time. As a compulsive procrastinator, I can find this difficult sometimes.

That's my quick round up. I will be back next month with some more information for you. Before then, you can find me at The Funky Craft Fayre, October 14th between 10am and 4pm. I will be making a swift exit at 4pm for the Rugby World Cup Quarter final kick off. Come on, Wales!!

Bye for now.
