It's May!

Let me start by saying, I can’t believe it's May! Where did April go? My aim was to write a blog post every month but I missed April. It was a busy time. I was busy with the shop, orders and getting ready for our holiday. We went to Sorrento for a week and it was absolute bliss!

Like most people, it's been a while since we have been abroad, we’ve enjoyed some lovely UK breaks over the last 5 years but it felt great to be further away. My husband and I are big fans of Italy so we decided to go to Sorrento this year and it was beautiful. We also visited Positano, Raffaello, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Positano and Raffaello were gorgeous, we walked the little streets and went into the little boutique shops. Every street was decorated with flowers and ceramics. There was something to see everywhere you looked.

We were taken back by the tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum, it was such a devastating event but we were amazed at how advanced these villages were and how much of these villages are still standing. We are nerds so we always like to visit historical places when we are on holiday and visiting Pompeii and Herculaneum was incredible. We had a tour guide for both sites and he was so knowledgeable, we were so grateful because I don’t think we would have found out as much as we did without him.

We did have a couple of relaxing days by the pool, we have never done an all inclusive holiday before but we settled in to it quickly. We ate so much food and drank a lot of cocktails. And if you haven’t tried a Limoncello Fizz, I highly recommend it!

After the holiday, it was straight back to work. I was in the shop for a shift the next day. Over the last couple of weeks we’ve made a couple of changes in the shop. The upstairs has had a mini makeover and a move around. It looks great and bigger somehow. We’ve also given the outside a freshen up ready for Summer. It’s been painted a gorgeous Tiffany blue colour so it stands out as you drive by. Check out The Coterie social media pages for pictures.

I’ve also been busy experimenting with some new stock. I have a few bags almost ready to put in the shop, I will also add them to the website so keep an eye out for them.

I have 2 craft fayres this month so I’m currently working on restocking. I will be at The Funky Craft Fayre at the Ostreme Centre on Saturday 13th May between 10am and 4pm. I love doing this craft fayre, you see some regular people and get some tourists coming through, you meet some interesting people. Also, the crafters that attend this event are amazing. There is always a wide range of crafts available and the nicest people.

I will be attending the Clydach Four Seasons Market for the first time this month. I’m looking forward to joining this market, I’ve heard great things about it. There is a mix of food, drink and craft stalls at this event. It runs between 10am and 2pm at Clydach Community Hall. So another busy month ahead.

Thank you for visiting my website and reading my blog post, sorry for rambling, I will get used to writing these things!

Have a great day. Bye for now.
